The hotel's decoration was charming and had a cozy atmosphere, reminiscent of a quaint countryside cottage. The floral wallpaper, delicate lace curtains, and vintage furniture created a warm and inviting ambiance. The general areas, such as the garden terrace and sitting room, were well-maintained and offered comfortable seating options. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible, with handrails in the hallways and ample lighting to navigate safely.
I would have appreciated a dedicated staff member who could assist senior guests with their luggage or offer extra support if needed. The children working there were polite and friendly, but a personal touch catered specifically to the needs of older guests would have made my vacation even better.

Great location with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful gardens. Plenty of outdoor seating and a quiet environment. Tatiana's cooking is excellent, especially the tortilla de patatas. The hostel is a haven for tired solo pilgrims, with clean facilities and a bubbling brook for relaxation.
Felt well taken care of, no complaints.

The location of this place was perfect for our romantic escape, as it was conveniently situated on the Camino path. We didn't have to venture far for meals either, as there was a restaurant on the premises. the food options were delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised by the gluten-free options available. the rooms were comfortable and clean, providing us with a cozy space to relax after a long day of exploring.
Sadly, there were no hand soaps in the toilets, which made for an unsanitary condition. However, apart from this small inconvenience, everything about our stay was super nice and exceeded our expectations.

Great location: The hotel was conveniently located between Oviedo and Grado, making it perfect for those traveling along the Camino. its proximity to a beautiful river added to the overall charm of the place.
Lack of bathroom information: Although we didn't have any issues, we were surprised to find out that the bathroom was shared. Limited options for vegetarians/vegans: For those following a vegetarian or vegan diet, the hotel didn't offer many choices on the menu.

The location of this budget hostel on the Camino Primitivo pilgrimage path is simply outstanding. It is nestled in a tiny village right on the idyllic Rio Nalon, providing a beautiful and serene setting. Guests can enjoy the peacefulness of the surroundings and relax in the lovely garden or by the river. the staff at the hostel are also highly praised for their excellent service and hospitality, making guests feel well looked after throughout their stay.
One downside mentioned in the reviews is that some guests were disappointed with the limited menu options in the restaurant.

I had an amazing stay at a charming accommodation in a peaceful location on the Camino Primitivo. The beds were so comfortable and the room was spotless. The highlight was definitely the gluten-free menu, which was a heaven-sent for me as a coeliac traveler. Even if you're not on the Camino, this place is a must-visit for gluten-free options. The friendly staff made me feel like part of their family throughout my stay. I can't recommend this place enough!

During my recent stay at Villa Palatina, I immediately felt at home thanks to the warm and welcoming staff. The location of the hotel, with the gentle sound of the nearby river, provided a peaceful and relaxing environment. One of the highlights was being able to sit by the river and refresh my tired feet while enjoying a delicious glass of fresh orange juice. The ambiance was truly heavenly. Additionally, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated having access to a washing machine and dryer. The eight-person dorm room I stayed in was only occupied by four people, so there was no need for any detours. The presence of a small above ground pool and an outdoor relaxation area added to the enjoyable experience. I also want to mention the covered dining area that protected us from the rain.
I did find it challenging as a vegetarian to find suitable options on the menu. The kitchen was not accessible to guests, and there were no nearby shops, making it difficult to find vegan or vegetarian-friendly meals.
